NSW Farmers are holding Young Farmers production tour in New England from the 20th to the 21st April 2013.                                                                           Topics will include precision ag in practice - What do precision ag advances actually mean for pasture based production systems? A hands on session using new PA tools at the University of New England.
A visit to Gates Performance Genetics, Armidale and industry leader in breeding of performance tested Poll Dorsets, White Suffolks, Angus and Charolais.
Dinner at the Armidale Bowling Club, with Guest Speaker- Sally Strelitz, The Milly Hill Lamb Success story. Building a business from nothing and how to successfully use social media to market your farming enterprise
The following day will include a visit to Gostwyck Merinos, A non-traditional Merino property that directly sells wool to Asia and employs TechnoGraze Technologies to increase pasture utilization.
