THE Agricultural Competitiveness Green Paper [1] has been released by the Federal Government and those in agriculture are being encouraged to have their say.
Minister for Agriculture Barnaby Joyce said the paper outlined a range of vital issues for agriculture including: developing a comprehensive drought policy, increasing innovation, improved access to finance, reliable and efficient transport and communication infrastructure, transparent and competitive supply and value chains, biosecurity and a streamlining of regulation relating to environmental management and workplace safety.
The Government will take submissions on the green paper until 12 December 2014.
