Riverina Highlands Landcare Network (RHLN) is embarking on a 2 year project to look at the opportunities for maximising the use of dung beetles to improve pasture condition.
The first stage of the project involves a survey [1]of landholders to find out more about your current perceptions of dung beetles. The survey should only take about 5 minutes of your time. All responses are voluntary, anonymous and confidential.

The results of the survey will be available on the Riverina Highlands Landcare Network website [2]from April 2018
Following the survey, the next phase of the project will involve a series of field trials to measure changes in cattle dung pads as a result of dung beetle activity. For this part, RHLN is looking for 5 properties geographically spread across the region to be involved in the trial.
Landholders interested in being involved in the dung beetle trial should read the dung beetle project Fact Sheet [3] and EOI Form [4]. The EOI form should be returned by 31 March 2018.
This project has received funding from Meat and Livestock Australia.
