Printer-friendly version

El Nino continues to strengthen with Central Pacific ocean temperatures likely to persist until the end of 2015. A new report into Australia’s agricultural future identifies climate change and climate variability as significant long term risks that need to be managed; SA’s McLaren Vale winegrowers are already taking steps to secure their natural resources in face of SA’s warming and drying climate. The new book Against the Grain also offers examples of how farmers are adapting to climate change in their enterprises.

On the mitigation front, the Clean Energy Regulation will hold its second ERF auction in November.
