Hollows for homes - Free nest boxes!

Free nest boxes are now available for members of Coolamon, Wagga Wagga Urban, Kyeamba, Tarcutta and Eastern Riverina Landcare groups.

With funding from the Riverina Local Land Services, Landcare members can receive up to 3 nest boxes to be placed in former Landcare plantings or areas of existing native vegetation.

The boxes can be used as a means of providing artificial hollows for native birds and mammals while natural hollows and habitat are established through Landcare type activities.

Interested landholders should contact Madeline Gorham, with the following information:

• Name

• Property name and addres

• Phone

• Email

• Number of nest boxes requested, and species you would like your nest box/es to house (swift parrots, superb parrots, squirrel gliders, micro bats, or other)
