3.2. Bioregions

The bulk of the Mid Murrumbidgee occurs in the NSW South Western Slopes bioregion, but also includes small areas of the Australian Alps, the South Eastern Highlands, and the Cobar Peneplain. The NSW South Western Slopes and the Cobar Peneplain are considered to be under-represented in the National Reserve System.
