K2C Mini Forum - Queanbeyan

The next mini-forum for Kosciuszko to Coast (K2C) will be held on 18 August, with special guest speaker Tim Wong. This will be an opportunity not only to influence the future direct of ACT NRM but to consider NRM strategies more broadly.

The draft ACT NRM Investment Plan released recently (12 July 2017) is being developed in partnership with the community to determine current and future investment priorities for the ACT and Region. This investment is focused around the themes of Biodiversity, Sustainable Agriculture, and Aboriginal NRM.

Tim Wong, Executive Officer of the ACT Natural Resource Management Body, will outline the plan and the current thinking about its implementation. More importantly he will be asking those present at the forum, for their input and suggestions that may assist to:

• Influence the future direction and implementation of the plan, and
• Encourage K2C partner and community engagement in the implementation of the plan.

K2C Mini Forums are open to K2C Partners, their staff and volunteers, K2C Associate Partners and Invited Guests. This is a free event and morning tea is included, but you need to register.

Those coming to the mini-forum will need need to meet in the foyer of the Government Offices building by 10.40am. An OEH person will meet you, sign you in and take you to the meeting room.

The NSW Government Offices are opposite the NSW Police building on the main street through Queanbeyan. Only short-term parking is available in front of the NSW Government Offices so open the link below for parking areas.
