The Molongolo Catchment Group are holding a series of community field days on sustainable horse management on small properties. The field days will be presented by Jane Myers (expert on horse management, and author of "Managing horses on small properties") and Alison Elvin (expert on pastures and weed management).

The field days will include:

  • Presentation of sustainable horse properties, including good and bad examples, to assist participants with designing their own properties
  • Discussion and advice on property layouts brought in by participants (be sure to bring in an aerial photograph of your property, if possible)
  • Field trip to a local property, to discuss property planning principles

The field day will commence at the Wamboin Community Hall, at 9.00 am.

Molonglo Catchment GroupCost is $20, which includes morning tea and lunch, as well as a copy of Jane's new booklet on planning your horse property. The cost of the field days has been subsidised thanks to a NSW Environmental Trust Grant.

Places are limited, so registration is essential. Please RSVP by 20 January to Debbie Saunders:
