Murrumbidgee Landcare e-news - July 2018
Welcome to the July edition of Murrumbidgee Landcare's e-news!
The National Landcare Conference is coming up in October this year, and we are very excited that 5 of our local Landcare Champions are in the running for Awards! Even better, you can help us gain greater recognition by voting for your local nominee’s in the People’s Choice Awards! Our nominees are all in different categories, which means you can vote for all five:
- David Marsh (Boorowa) is in the running for the Australian Government Individual Landcarer Award
- Murrumbidgee Landcare Inc is in the running for the Australian Government Excellence in Sustainable Farm Practices Award
- John Ive (Yass) is in the running for the Australian Government Innovation in Agriculture Land Management Award
- Ginninderra Catchment Group are in the running for the Fairfax Landcare Community Group Award
- Miranda Gardner (Southern ACT Catchment Management Group) is in the running for the Austcover Young Landcare Leader Award
Find out more about all the nominees here, and submit your vote here.
Murrumbidgee Landcare have also been busy compiling all the valuable feedback and ideas we received as part of the Riverina Landcare Strategic Plan process. Find out what we’re up to, and what is happening next!
Remember, if you’d like some assistance or advice, you can always contact your Local Landcare Coordinator or the Murrumbidgee Landcare office. We’re here to help all Landcarer’s in our region!
