Gorgeous Gullies Field Day will be held on 27 Mar 2011, 8:30 - 17:00 at Goldenholm, 1236 Yass River Road and Nanima Gold, 111 Johnson Drive, Yass
- Is gully erosion a concern for you?
- Is too much of your soil surging into the river system?
- Is too much of your soil drying out too quickly and becoming lifeless?
You are invited to a Field Day to assess two innovative demonstration projects. The projects have used "leaky weirs", gabion walls, rock walls and swale banks to prevent deep and active erosion gullies feeding sediment into the Yass River. These projects aim to reduce gully erosion, rehydrate and enhance soil health and improve the quality of water in the Yass River catchment. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. please bring a hat, strong footwear and sun screen.
